Audition information for Mendelssohn Choir of CT
The Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut is a non-profit organization in Fairfield County open to any singer who can successfully audition.
Auditions are held the first Tuesday of September and then again throughout the Fall prior to or after rehearsal. Complete the form below to request an audition. Information about how to prepare for an audition can be found at the bottom of this page. |

Audition Requirements:
Preferences will be given to singers that are able to commit for the complete season schedule.
Rehearsals:
Rehearsals are each Tuesday at St. Luke Church from 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. During the weeks leading to a performance, rehearsals begin at 7:00 p.m., and rehearsals may be added. All dress rehearsals are mandatory.
All singers are required to pay dues, purchase their music, concert folder, and concert attire (costs vary).
- Prepare a song of your choosing (2-3 minute maximum).
- An accompanist will be provided (please bring sheet music).
- Sight-singing, rhythm and vocal exercises.
