Carole Ann Maxwell, D.S.M.
Founding Artistic Director & Conductor |
The Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut is about to embark on a very special 38th season honoring the leadership and legacy of our founding artistic director and conductor, Carole Ann Maxwell D.S.M.
Since its founding in 1984, The Mendelssohn Choir of Connecticut (MCC) is dedicated to the development of an appreciation of choral music through the presentation of public concerts and performances. MCC is known for its versatility of repertoire, including oratorio, symphonic, opera, Broadway and music of diversity. Choral music can express extremely powerful emotions and engage listeners as nothing else can. We want our audiences to be drawn into the action and to be moved by the unique power of communication by many human voices. We want to expand the boundaries of concert presentations through a focus on choral excellence and innovative programming. Our community outreach program endeavors to bring this choral art to people of diverse ages and backgrounds. |
